Violence is very strong, including use of guns, swords, flamethrowers, and other weapons, with many characters shot and killed, and much blood shown.

Shane is shot and killed by security forces just before the anti-Purge group attacks the compound, killing the security forces and remaining Purgers; Liz chooses to stay with the resistance fighters while Leo, Eva, and Cali leave. Leo steals a car and drives off with Eva and Cali.

Can The Purge really take place in the future? No. The purge is one of the most silly and incoherent things ever created. The idea in the movie is that the purge is “working”, lowering crime rate.

Before the Purge begins, the Emergency Broadcast System (the predecessor to the Emergency Alert System, which returned for unexplained reasons) is activated with rules and a prayer saying "Blessed be our New Founding Fathers and America, a nation reborn" before ending with "May God be with you all".

Honestly, the movie directed and written by James DeMonaco, has potential, for more, if the movie tries to be a dark satire, but it fails because it takes its ridiculous premise too seriously. Like my previous review on the Purge, the sequel movie does also a poor attempt to explain why the Purge works.

The movie itself is an ok horror film. There's a lot of gore,violence and a scene of attempted rape. There's also some use a racist dialogue and a lot of cursing and swearing along with other derogatory terms. Watch at your own discretion and I wouldn't allow a kid under 17 to watch it personally.

Parents need to know that Sons of Anarchy centers on a tough-talking, hard-living motorcycle gang that runs an illegal gun-running operation and protects its members by any means possible.
